David
was raised in Bellevue, Washington, and studied
at Western Washington University, the University
of Oregon, and the University of Stuttgart. He
spent seven years in Germany, where he worked
in the software industry, and in 1984, he trusted
Christ as his Savior, after returning to America.
While at Crossroads Bible Church, he was active
in the Discipleship/Evangelism Ministry, Missions
Council and Singles Leadership. David’s first
missions exposure came in 1987 as part of Chosen
People Ministries’ Summer Training and Evangelism
Program (STEP). He joined the STEP team again
in 1995 for several weeks of street evangelism
in New York City and Montreal. In 1991 David completed
a five-year course in the Bible at Ariel’s Camp
Shoshanah in New York.
Becky grew up in the Philippines,
the 10th of 16 children. She came to know Christ
in her early teens and graduated from FEBIAS College
of Bible in Manila. She was employed in the Christian
Education field at churches and schools in metro-Manila
during the 1980’s, and served with Operation Mobilization
on the Doulos ship from 1988-1990. In 1991 she
ministered with Operation Mobilization for eight
months. In 1995 she migrated to U.S.A. to serve
as the Christian Education director of Cornerstone
Fil-Am Baptist Church until January of 1999, when
she married David.
While at Cornerstone Becky
and David co-labored in Missions, Youth Ministry,
Evangelism and Discipleship, and served on the
Church Council. In 2001 we joined Newport Hills
Community Church, where David led the evangelism
program and Becky has helped with Christian Education.
David has also had the opportunity to preach several
times at both Cornerstone and Newport Hills Community
Church.
